Dear parents and Carers, Its been a bit of a wet week at nursery but the children have been having a great time learning about Diwali and the festival of light. Lots of story telling, creative activities and fun! We then ended the week with a wonderful fire pit, which included marshmallows and hot chocolate! Look at Tapestry to see what fun we’ve been having. A big thank you: I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Lilah‘s Mum Claire (and Claire’s Dad) for all their hard work and efforts in creating a beautiful flowerbed outside the front of nursery. Claire designed the bed and then bought it to life! We used the money raised from the disco to purchase the plants. We can’t wait to watch it grow and flourish. Thank you Claire. Question of the week: I will often send you a link to a short google form, to gain your valuable feedback, thoughts and ideas. This week the questions are about our recent curriculum video. Please take two minutes to respond as your voice is important to us. Admission to primary, junior and middle school in September 2023 |
Applications for children due to start at primary school or transferring to junior or middle school in September 2023 open on Tuesday 1 November. The easiest way to apply for a school place is to visit www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions and complete the online application form. Last year, 99 per cent of parents applied this way and found the system quick, easy and secure. The closing date for applications is Sunday 15 January 2023; it is vital that parents make their application on time. Arriving into nursery: can we ask that you please say goodbye to your child at the bottom of the small slope into nursery as at busy times it can cause congestion. If your child is upset then of course you can bring them to the entrance and settle them. Please remember that the adults standing at the door are there to safeguard the children in and out of the building. If you would like to talk to us please telephone between the hours of 9am-2.30pm where we are able to write down messages and give you our full attention. Or you can email us which can then be passed directly to the key person if necessary. admin@tenterfield.herts.sch.uk People who help us: Thank you very much to the parents who have volunteered to come in talk to the children about their jobs. We so far have a visit from a vet and an ambulance!! If you (or anyone you know) would like to come and share what they do with the children then we would love you to visit us the week beginning 14th Nov please. Please email admin@tenterfield.herts.sch.uk We would particularly love a visit from a dentist?? Missing items: We have a missing Tenterfield green fleece and a missing pink coat. If these have accidentally gone home with you please could you return them ASAP. Many thanks. Lunchboxes: Please remember we encourage healthy packed lunches. No chocolate or sweets. No nuts which includes Nutella. No juice in water bottles please. Sleep Advice: Please see the attached poster which has an advice line to support with sleeping issues with children.
