Heads Up…12/12/22

Dear parents and carers,

Well today is a bit of an unexpected surprise!! What a wonderful winter wonderland we have all woken up to today! Please see the challenges on Tapestry we have set you today, and have fun exploring the snow! For some of our younger children this will be their first experience! Please share on Tapestry!

Arrangements for Friday– so… I had an unexpected email from Father Christmas telling me he had double booked himself on Friday!! He’s such a busy man this time of year!! He asked if he could come to the children’s parties on Monday instead, and of course I agreed!! But sshhhhh, don’t tell the children!

We felt this also may help parents who were worried about our songs over running and having to collect siblings from primary school, and their children missing the special visitor.

If your child is in the red or orange group then please return at 2.30. Your child will go into the nursery with their key person. All Parents are invited for ‘pre show’ mince pies and drinks in the garden at 2.30.

The songs will start at 2.45pm, for approx 30mins. Please can your child come wearing a bobble hat and scarf.

Christmas donation: Thank you to the families who have made their £6 donation on school gateway. The children have been busy doing lots of extra Christmas activities including creating a Christmas gift for you, Christmas parties and Father Christmas will provide an extra special gift for your child. In return we ask for a donation of £6 per child please (if you would like to donate more then please do.) Please look for the payment request on school gateway. We really appreciate your support.

Catch Up calls– we would usually be making catch up calls this last week of term but we have decided to postpone them until early Jan. This time of year is so busy trying to squeeze everything in, and we want you to get the most out of the time talking with your key person. Mrs Hebbert will be making introductory calls to the orange group, she is also having hand-over meetings with Mrs Jackson.

Newspaper– if you have spare newspaper we would like these for our animals please.

Washing machine– our washing machine has unfortunately broken. If anyone is lucky enough to be getting a new machine and your old one is in working order please do get in touch?

Pink transition story time- our children who will be moving up from the pink group to a new colour group in Jan have been contacted about story times with their new key person this week. Please check tapestry for further information.

Christmas holiday club:  last chance to book for Weds 21st & Thurs 22nd Dec on School Gateway.

Keeping warm:  it’s going to continue to be a chilly week, please do ensure your child is dressed appropriately for nursery. Jogging bottoms are best in this weather. We go outside everyday.

We are hoping to be open tomorrow but if you need a slower start in the morning please take your time. Safety is always our priority. The staff have been busy clearing the paths. If we are unable to open for any reason we hope to give you as much notice as possible. Please do check your emails and school gateway app messages.

Now….go build that snowman!
