Heads Up…21/04/2023

Dear Parents & Carers,

Welcome back to the Summer Term…can you believe we are here already! And a big welcome to all our new families who have joined Tenterfield this term.

Garden day: Don’t forget our Garden Day is tomorrow 10am-12pm.

We will have our annual garden make over day where staff, governors and parents come together to have a ‘Spring clean’ of our garden. Please bring gardening tools, particularly wheel barrows, spades & brooms. Unfortunately children are unable to attend due to having tools and equipment in the garden. You will be rewarded with bacon sandwiches and a hot drink for all your hard work.

Catch Up Calls: Next week we have our catch up calls with your key worker. These usually happen at the end of every half term but Ofsted got in the way before Easter!!

The calls will be as follows:

Monday 24th April: Orange Group between 9.30-11.30am

Tuesday 25th April: Green Group between 12.30-2.30pm

Wednesday 26th April: Red Group between 9.30-11.30am

Wednesday 26th April: Yellow Group between 12.30-2.30pm

Thursday 27th April: Blue Group between 12.30-2.30pm

Weds 3rd April: Pink Group between 12.30-2.30

Forest School: We will all be going to Forest school on Thursday 27th April. We need as many helpers as we can so please just come along and wait under the canopy at 8.55am. We would appreciate a quick email to admin@tenterfield.herts.sch.uk to let us know you can attend, so we can ensure we have safe ratios to go over.

Marathon Fundraiser: Our amazing Governor, Lucy Hill, is running the London Marathon on Sunday!! And she has kindly offered to raise money for Tenterfield! Lucy would like to raise money for new garden equipment & apparatus.

We would love you to support Lucy by helping Tenterfield Nursery raise over £2000 to help fund brand new equipment for our amazing garden.. Please donate to our JustGiving Crowdfunding Page: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/tenterfield-nursery?utm_term=vAG9aeEJe Thank you SO much to the parents who have donated so far.

Water bottles: As the weather is getting warmer please ensure your child has a named water bottle with them every day. NO juice please.

Lunches: Please ensure your child has a substantial lunch, we suggest 5 healthy items. No chocolate, eggs or peanut butter.

Change of clothes: Please make sure your child come to nursery with a bag of spare clothes including knickers/pants, socks and nappies (if needed.) If you leave your child’s bag at Tenterfield please check this is well stocked.

We are looking forward to seeing some of you tomorrow.
