Dear Parents and Carers,
This week ended with a fun visit to the park. The children loved it, and it was lovely to see them all having fun and playing together.
Helping Herts Non-Uniform Day: Helping Herts Week will run from 3 – 7 July, towards the end of the Summer term. It will celebrate everything about Hertfordshire; from the charities that support the community to great days out, to the amazing businesses and people that support us all.
On Friday 7th July we are going to have a PJ day to raise money for Helping Herts. Please come to school dressed in your pyjamas, and help us raise as much money as we can for this important charity. The charity have set up a donation page to add the total money raised after the day, which is here: https://fundraising.helpingherts.com/helpinghertsweek
Lost property: We have an increasing amount of lost property. Next week this will be under the canopy. Please have a look if there is anything that belongs to your child. It will be bagged up and taken to the charity shop on Friday 30th June.

Welwyn Festival Family Quiz Trail: A message from the organisers:
“We didn’t have many entries for ‘Cuckoo in the Nest’ last year so have decided to give it a rest this year. Instead we have devised a Family Quiz Trail which is walkable in the centre of Welwyn Village.
We have used ‘What3Words’ to navigate to the clues on the basis the Emergency Services are very pro people knowing about this free app. Although the children won’t have phones they are likely to be quite adept at helping their parents/carers find the locations from the app. This quiz requires powers of observation, discussion and navigation skills. I have tried to set it up as an online form but that proved too difficult so it remains paper-based.
A form is attached to this email, or Paper copies will be available from the Welwyn Festival stall at the Street Market on 24th June, or from the Parish Council Offices in Lockley Drive.”
Welwyn Festival Parade: We will be taking part in the Welwyn street parade on Sat 1st July. The theme this year will be all things 60s & 70s. We would love as many children to join us as possible!! Please don’t buy a costume; any bright coloured clothes or flower power will do! Parents are welcomed to join in the fun too by dressing up and accompanying their children during the parade. Parents will need to be responsible for their children at all times, as Tenterfield staff will be off duty!!
We will be meeting at the civic centre at 12.45pm so we can be ready to set off at 1pm, following the fire engine down to Singlers Marsh where the parade judging will take place.
Welwyn Festival Fun Day: Carrying on from the parade on 1st July we have a stall at the fun day so make sure you pop down and see us from 12.30 – 5pm.
Sports Day: On weds 5th July we will have our sports day for our nursery aged children. We will invite the 15hrs (red & orange) to stay for lunch and sports day will start at 1pm. Parents are welcomed to attend. Details TBC.
Pirate Party: Our Pirate party will be on Thurs 20th July and children are welcomed to come in fancy dress (optional).
Last day of term: Term ends Friday 21st July. Please note our 30hr children finish at the earlier time of 1pm. There is no afterschool club this day.
Have a lovely Sunny weekend. See you next week,
Mrs Beare
