About Us

Tenterfield is a Hertfordshire County Council Nursery School that provides funded nursery education for 3 and 4 year old children for 15 hours a week. We provide a wide range of experiences and opportunities to encourage each child to develop to their full potential.

The school has two separate sessions morning and afternoon. The morning session is from 8.50 to 11.50am and the afternoon session from 12.30 to 13.30pm.

The staff are trained teachers, nursery nurses and early years practitioners and work closely as a team to meet each child’s individual needs.

The school offers Wraparound Care for the nursery children.  Wraparound Care is an extension of the child’s free nursery education place which is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm for 48 weeks of the year.  The Wraparound is fully integrated into each nursery session, sharing environment and resources.

We also offer holiday club childcare for 3 – 8 years olds. Please see our Holiday Club page for more information.
